Using gift card outside Spain

Hi

I'm from Egypt & I want to purchase some items using gift card as payment method because there are many restrictions on buying anything outside Egypt using visa card. I had some concerns about redeem cards and buying items using Egyptian IP, Then I've redeem my gift cards and I found a message that I have to confirm my Identity. Now I'm panicked loosing my money as I'm really not comfortable putting my own data over the internet at any way even at the most secure facility in the world.

But I need to be assured that if I have to confirm my identity to use the gift card balance to purchase the items I want sold by amazon.es I'll buy items only sold by Amazon. Thanks
